QPlease describe your role in the Amorepacific Taipei Office.
I am the General Manager for ETUDE and daily beauty brands, where I oversee brand promotion, develop marketing strategies, set sales targets and plans, and expand sales channels. Previously, I worked with the Daily Beauty Team, managing hair, body, and oral care products sold through the FMCG channel.
QK-beauty has gained popularity among global customers. Do you actually feel this phenomenon?
When I first joined the company, the Daily Beauty Team was newly established, and we had to build everything—from products to distribution channels—from the ground up. Today, the team has achieved remarkable success. When we launched 'Hello Bubble' from 'mise-en-scène' in Taipei, we were concerned about its reception because the hair color products segment was relatively niche within the overall hair dye market. However, thanks to our effective strategies, 'Hello Bubble' continues to thrive in this competitive landscape. While all our brands are like my children, 'mise-en-scène' is especially dear to me, as I have witnessed its journey from its early days to its current success.
QDo you have any advice for future Amorepacific applicants?
Being flexible is key. In a rapidly changing business environment, it is crucial to be adaptable, respond quickly to market shifts, and embrace new company strategies. Maintaining a positive attitude amidst change is also essential. By staying motivated even in challenging situations, you can overcome obstacles and continue to grow.

QPlease describe the work culture at the Amorepacific Taipei Office in three words.
I choose 'Open-mindedness,' 'Innovation,' and 'Harmony.' In our communication and collaboration, we listen to each other and exchange opinions and ideas openly. When issues arise, we prioritize reasoned communication over personal interests, which enhances our teamwork and helps resolve problems effectively. At the Amorepacific Taipei Office, we share a strong sense of camaraderie. We socialize outside the office, enjoy meals together, and engage in activities, creating a close, family-like bond.
QWhat opportunities does Amorepacific offer for employee growth?
As the brand manager for INNISFREE, I oversee marketing activities including product positioning, launch events, and customer management. As our team continues to grow, our roles have expanded. We frequently undertake new projects, learning from these experiences and developing our leadership skills, particularly in my case. I have gained valuable insights into leading a team, supporting internal members, and resolving issues. With Amorepacific's global expansion, new opportunities and challenges naturally come our way.
QWhen do you feel happiest while working at the Amorepacific Taipei Office?
I appreciate having great colleagues and a positive environment, but what truly brings me happiness is collaborating with my team and making a difference in our work. One project that stands out was when we built our digital marketing from the ground up. At that time, digital marketing was just beginning to take off in the beauty industry, and there were few experts in this area. Today, we've integrated CRM data, allowing us to better understand customer engagement with our messages and ads, and to enhance our marketing strategies. These moments of teamwork and support are what I find most rewarding and fulfilling.

QWhat is the most memorable project you worked on at the Amorepacific Taipei Office?
As a member of the LANEIGE team, the first thing that comes to mind is the sustainability campaign 'HUG Universal Goodness.' This campaign, led by LANEIGE, focused on water and was executed with a strong commitment to eco-friendliness from planning through to implementation. We developed a new refill option for LANEIGE products and worked hard to minimize environmental impact while still providing benefits to our customers. The campaign stands out not only for its environmental focus but also for the collaborative effort of many team members. I believe that our sincere and open-minded approach is key to achieving great results.
QWhat is the most satisfying aspect of working at the Amorepacific Taipei Office?
I feel satisfied when a major internal event is successfully completed or when I accomplish something new, such as planning the annual Beauty Advisor (BA) event or hosting an event through Gather Town. Gather Town, our virtual workplace platform, allows us to create various team-building activities, such as games or online contests. For example, the online room escape game for Mother's Day strengthened teamwork and boosted morale. It is incredibly rewarding when my efforts are recognized, and our team members enjoy the events I plan—it motivates and fulfills me. I am also fortunate to have a team manager and colleagues who always support me. Thanks to all these aspects, I firmly believe that I can continue to challenge myself and grow at the Amorepacific Taipei Office.
QHow would you define a person who creates beauty?
I believe that creating beauty starts with understanding and meeting customer needs. Customers come to us with a desire to enhance their beauty, and accurately grasping their needs is fundamental to this process. As a member of the LANEIGE training team, I work to ensure our Beauty Advisors are well-informed about our products and can provide satisfying experiences for our customers, thereby contributing to a more beautiful world. I take pride in being part of the journey that helps our customers experience their own beauty.
