QWhen do you feel happiest while working at the Amorepacific Tokyo Office?
First of all, I became a huge fan of 'HERA' as I had the opportunity to contribute to its launch in Japan. HERA is my favorite brand, so it is such a pleasure for me to introduce the brand's exceptional products and styles. My perspective on foundation changed when I found HERA's 'Black Cushion,' which I still use on a daily basis. Since last July, when the brand launched in Japan, I have learned a lot from working with the team in Seoul. It is also wonderful to grow with such a prestigious brand like HERA.
QHow would you define a person who creates beauty?
While caring for one's appearance may be valuable to some, I believe that having a strong and vibrant inner self is crucial for cultivating an overall sense of beauty. I feel rewarded for introducing the K-beauty trend to the world, which emphasizes the harmony between inner and outer beauty.

QPlease explain the LANEIGE business of the Amorepacific Tokyo Office.
LANEIGE was launched in 2022, and the brand is growing rapidly in Japan. In March 2024, the global rebranding 'OPEN TO WONDER' was announced. This concept aligns with the Japanese market, where customers are seeking a new skincare solution. We are considering the expansion of the offline market to engage deeply with these customers.
QWhat is LANEIGE's top priority in Japan, one of the key markets in the Asian beauty industry?
Localization in Japan is crucial to the skincare market. Customers can only trust a product based on its reliable technology and efficacy, and Japanese people have a high standard for skincare. LANEIGE has always had intriguing brand concepts, innovative technologies, and excellent efficacy. Therefore, the brand could achieve exceptional results if successfully localized.
QWhat do you find most interesting about working at the Amorepacific Tokyo Office?
We have a culture that enables us to work efficiently and proactively, leading to immediate achievements. Despite the rapidly changing market and inevitable trials and errors, our decision-making process is fast and flexible, promoting dynamic work experiences. I choose 'Speed,' 'Execution,' and 'Creativity.' As the Japanese cosmetic market expands, our office swiftly adapts to trends and leads the market with continuous innovation. During this process, people at the Amorepacific Tokyo Office relentlessly share new ideas and thoughts through various tasks. Although it can be challenging, I find it enjoyable and rewarding to conceive something new with creative and innovative ideas.
QWhen do you feel happiest or satisfied while working at the Amorepacific Tokyo Office?
My happiness comes from positive feedback from customers, and my satisfaction is derived from our office environment which allows me to fully leverage my skills and strengths.
QWhat is your favorite brand or product of Amorepacific?
My favorite product is ETUDE's 'Curl Fix Mascara.' It has been popular in South Korea, and I was using it even before joining the company. It offers long-lasting hold, and I love the gray-brown color so much that I get anxious when it is about to run out. The packaging design is also beautiful. Participating in various promotions and interacting with customers has deepened my attachment to this product.
QDo you have any advice for future Amorepacific applicants?
You should become a fan of Amorepacific. I am fully dedicated to my work and feel more rewarded than others because of my enthusiasm for beauty and deep interest in Amorepacific. My passion for beauty allows me to naturally consider customers' views, understand their needs, and incorporate them into my work. Professionalism, persistence, and meaningful contributions to a company are achievable only when you do something you love.
