AmorePacific (CEO Sang Bae Shim) will support a symposium held under the theme of “Active-Aging Solution from Heritage to Global” on October 21 (Tuesday) and participate in the 2014 International Symposium for Anti-Aging of the Korean Society for Gerontology held in the Advanced Institute of Convergence Technology, Seoul National University, Yeongtong-gu, Suwon, Gyeonggi-do, Korea.

Hosted by the Korean Society for Gerontology and the Advanced Institute of Convergence Technology of Seoul National University, the International Symposium for Anti-Aging was attened by many distinguished Korean and foreign experts in anti-aging and dermatology, including Professor Robert Huber of the Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry who is the Nobel Prize Laureate in Chemistry; Professor Chang Yong Lee of Cornell University, United States; Professor Hyong Joo Lee of Seoul National University, Korea; Professor Beom Jun Kim of Chung-Ang University, Korea; and Team Leader Jun Seong Park of the AmorePacific Heritage Material Research Team.

At the symposium, AmorePacific will present the new anti-aging effects of ginseng, beans and green tea, as well as the examination results on their mechanisms. The research was conducted for three years since 2012 with support from Pforessor Robert Huber and the global research network. In addition, it plans to discuss its strategies and research trends for graceful aging and a healthy life.

The major research results to be presented at the symposium include evaluation of the moisturizing and wrinkle-caring effects of Compound K, a ginseng compound tested through skin cell clinical trials; research results that examined the wrinkle-caring effect of a new anti-aging target protein (Flt3) of Coumestrol, a defense element of beans against harmful external environment factors; and new anti-aging target protein (PKCl) of isoflavone metabolome (known as ODI) that exists in minute amounts in medicinal soybean paste fermented for a long period of time.
