AMOREPACIFIC held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Incheon Logistics Center in Kajwa-dong, Incheon on September 11. The company is building a new logistics base that is part of its longer-term efforts to rationalize nationwide logistics networks and advance its logistics operations. The Center is scheduled for completion by October 2003. The buildings are situated on a 13,200 m2-lot, and measure approximately 7,380 m2 (6,450 m2 for the first floor and 933 m2 for the second floor). The construction cost is estimated at about 10 billion won. Serving as a logistics hub, the Center will represent the culmination of the company’s 50 years of logistics operations and expertise. Upon completion, the Center’s operations will be responsible for shipments in the western regions of the larger metropolitan areas around Seoul and warehousing of personal care products. The Incheon region where the Center is located is anticipated to experience rapid growth, due to its proximity to the global production hub of China and to the Incheon International Airport. AMOREPACIFIC’s Logistics Division plans to regularly conduct customer satisfaction surveys to continually improve the Center’s services based on Customer Satisfaction Index evaluations, ensuring that it meets the increasingly diverse needs of customers.
