AMOREPACIFIC (President and CEO, Suh Kyung-bae) sponsored the 7th National Congress of China Dermatology (organized by the Dermatologist Branch of the Chinese Medical Association), held at the JIUHUA RESORT & CONVENTION CENTER in Beijing from November 10th to 13th (Thursday to Sunday) as the Korean beauty industry representative, and demonstrated AMOREPACIFIC's excellent R&D competitiveness to the Chinese dermatological community by exhibiting brand technologies (e.g. Sulwhasoo, Laneige and Mamonde) and opening a symposium concerning Anti-aging. The National Congress of China Dermatology is the biggest dermatology symposium, and was attended by approximately 3,500 dermatologists, industry officials and global beauty companies.
At this congress, AMOREPACIFIC introduced the core technologies of Sulwhasoo, Laneige and Mamonde brands popular among Chinese customers at its exhibition stand. In particular, Asian Beauty realized through mid-to-long-term research conducted by AMOREPACIFIC R&D Center on three core raw materials, namely soybean, ginseng and green tea, was introduced. In addition, the skin condition measuring instrument developed by AMOREPACIFIC attracted the attention of visiting dermatologists by testing their skins and providing solutions.
In addition AMOREPACIFIC conducted a symposium for 400 dermatologists concerning 'Anti-aging' on Saturday 12th. Particularly, information regarding the Anti-aging specialty owned by AMOREPACIFIC and Chinese women skin specialists was shared, presenting the Retinol concentration particularly suited to Chinese women’s skin, the effect of EGCG , the main ingredients of Mamonde age control on skin for Chinese women, and the Anti-aging effect of microalgae, a core ingredient of Lirikos.
After stabilizing Retinol into cosmetic dosage form for the first time in the world in 1997, continuing research by the AMOREPACIFIC R&D Center in the specialized area of Anti-aging helped to develop Retinotox technology in 2005, creating the best existing Retinol stabilizing technology for improving skin stabilization and effect.
Hak-Hee Kang, the CTO of AMOREPACIFIC R&D Center said, “We are aiming to satisfy our customers’ needs, developing our network continuously and performing in-depth studies in collaboration with Chinese skin specialists. We plan to lay the foundations for success in China for the mid-to-long-term”.
AMOREPACIFIC also attracted dermatologists from all over the world by demonstrating 'Asian Beauty' and received a great response from exhibiting Asian raw materials (e.g. soybean, ginseng and green tea) and introducing global brands including Sulwhasoo, Laneige and Mamonde and oriental medicinal science at the 22nd World Congress of Dermatology held in Seoul on May 2011.
