Carbon Neutrality
Net Zero 2050 Goal Setting
Amorepacific has declared a '2050 Net Zero' goal. To reach this goal, we will reduce the total direct emissions Scope 1 from our business sites and indirect emissions Scope 2 from purchased electricity by 48.9% by 2030 and 90% by 2050 compared to 2020 and achieve RE100 by 2030. Additionally, we plan to reduce emissions from purchased goods and services and from end-of-life treatment of sold products, which account for the most significant portion of our other indirect emissions Scope 3, by 25% by 2030 and 90% by 2050 compared to 2020. In June 2024, Amorepacific secured objectivity and reliability by receiving approval for its 2030 greenhouse gas reduction targets and 2050 Net-Zero targets from the Science Based Targets Initiative SBTi, a global initiative.
