WeDream, Supporting Economic Autonomy of Individuals with Disabilities
Amorepacific Group has established 'WeDream,' a subsidiary designed as a standard workplace for individuals with disabilities. This initiative aims to offer meaningful employment opportunities to those facing challenges in the job market due to physical disabilities, fostering their social and economic independence.
As of 2022, 96.8% of the total employees at ‘WeDream' are individuals with disabilities, 75% are severely disabled, and 52% are women with disabilities.
'WeDream' employees are responsible for packaging products at the Osan Amore Beauty Park logistics support division. The massage center called 'Raon’ in Amorepacific HQ, which employs 16 visually impaired health keepers and two front desk staff members (one with a physical disability and one visually impaired).
The usage fee from 'Raon' were donated to the Korea Blind Union and two other organizations in 2018, and approximately KRW 46 million was presented to the Korea Childhood Leukemia Foundation in 2019.
In 2019, ‘We-Dream' launched 'CarOn,' a steam car-washing service, to explore job roles suitable for its employees. The service contributes an annual KRW 5 million to the Osan Center for the Severely Disabled.
'We-Dream' received the Minister of Employment and Labor's Award for 'The Comfortable Workplace of the Year' in 2019 and was honored with a commendation for outstanding contributions to disabled employment from Gyeonggi Province. In 2020, we received the Prime Minister's commendation as an excellent employer for disabled people. In 2021, we were again selected as an excellent employer for disabled people, proving that we are at the forefront of employment diversity.
innisfree, Enhancing Workplace Diversity through Employment of Individuals with Severe Disabilities
Under the slogan ‘Working Together at innisfree’, innisfree enhanced workplace diversity by hiring 6 employees with severe disabilities as gardeners and nail artists. Female employees with severe hearing disabilities were employed as nail artists at innisfree’s company welfare facility, ‘inninail’. Service fees paid by innisfree employees were donated to the Autism Korea, creating a virtuous circle. In addition, ‘inninail Outreach’, a hand care service provided by inninail nail artists with hearing impairment, and ‘My Valuable Self – Beauty Class’ that offers classes on skincare and makeup, supported women with developmental disabilities lead more independent lives.
