Amorepacific Group Safety and Health Management Policy

Under the management supervision of Amorepacific Group, we comply with all domestic and international occupational safety and health-related laws to establish a continuous safety and health management system, targeting all stakeholders, including employees and contractors.

As a responsible corporate citizen, Amorepacific is dedicated to the prioritization of ensuring the health and safety of all members at Amorepacific establishments as the number one principle of business activities and is committed to implementing necessary measures.

Implementation of a Safety Workplace

Assessing Compliance to SHE Audit & Laws and Regulations

In order to respond effectively to SHE-related regulations and risks in the expanding global market, Amorepacific Group has established an advanced common management system at the Group level. We continue to monitor, evaluate, and improve SHE performance through self-audit of the business sites using SHE Standard, cross-audit of the business sites, and third-party audits through external specialized institutions.

Efforts to Create a Safety Culture

Amorepacific has conducted various activities to establish a safety culture in its workplaces. We encourage all employees to comply with safety rules by producing a series of videos on safety rules to be followed for each of Amorepacific's 10 Safety Golden Rules established in 2021. It was planned as a participatory campaign to induce actual practice of the Safety Golden Rules, and the first was a seat belt-wearing certification photo campaign. The campaign was organized to wear seat belts on all seats when using all means of transportation (personal cars, shuttle buses, taxis, etc.) and to encourage participation not only of oneself but also of family members. This provided an opportunity to re-emphasize the importance of the Safety Golden Rules and put them into practice.
Amore Beauty Park operated a Safety Week. Safety and health activities such as invited expert education, emergency response training, and VR safety and health experiences were conducted to promote voluntary industrial accident prevention activities for workplace members. Safety goods using the company's characters were produced to increase familiarity with safety awareness and attract members' interest.

Selected as an Outstanding Company for Supporting Supplier Safety Management

As a result of Amorepacific's various support activities for mutual growth with suppliers, it was selected as an outstanding company (top 20%) in the safety and health mutual growth project. This is the result of participating in the 1st Mutual Cooperation Program organized by the Ministry of Employment and Labor in 2023 with two workplaces (headquarters, Amore Beauty Park), operating mentor-mentee programs for vulnerable suppliers (less than five employees) in each workplace, and supporting various safety inspections and training. Amorepacific plans to continue realizing mutual growth and creating a safe working environment for suppliers.

Safety Leadership Audits

Amorepacific Group operates a safety audit program known as Safety Leadership, led by the Persons in Charge of Safety and Health Management. This program aims to improve occupational safety and health management and raise awareness among members to create a safe working environment. The program conducts audits based on Amorepacific Group’s SHE Standards and relevant regulations, covering work environment, health management, education and training, emergency response, chemical management, and supply chain management.

Strengthening Health and Safety Standards of Stores

Amorepacific Group operates a safety audit program known as Safety Leadership, led by the Persons in Charge of Safety and Health Management. This program aims to improve occupational safety and health management and raise awareness among members to create a safe working environment. The program conducts audits based on Amorepacific Group’s SHE Standards and relevant regulations, covering work environment, health management, education and training, emergency response, chemical management, and supply chain management.

Establishment of Overseas Emergency Safety Management Solution

Amorepacific Group prioritizes the safety of employees dispatched or on business trips in global business environments and has introduced an innovative and effective overseas safety management solution. Through this, we provide services such as medical care, security, and psychological counseling for health management to employees dispatched or on business trips overseas. The support center guides employees to nearby medical facilities and provides medical interpretation assistance in emergencies.
Furthermore, when overseas business trip employees issue flight tickets, their location and status are automatically linked to the Tracker Map, enabling real-time monitoring. In emergencies for employees overseas, we promptly respond by identifying their safety through real-time communication, including emergency text services.

Worker Health Promotion Initiative

Amorepacific conducted a "Musculoskeletal Burden Work Improvement Project" to address workers' musculoskeletal strain caused by handling heavy materials and repetitive processes. In collaboration with the Ergonomics Society of Korea, a company-wide musculoskeletal disorder prevention task force was formed to evaluate workloads in cosmetic production processes for about three months. Potential musculoskeletal risk factors were identified for each unit operation, and improvement plans were established. Through this, Amorepacific developed ten ergonomic work management principles and is establishing an occupational disease prevention management program.
