Safety and Health
Amorepacific considers the safety and health of our employees a top priority in all business operations and continuously works to identify and mitigate risks. To ensure compliance with safety and health regulations, we operate dedicated safety and health teams across our headquarters and each business site. Beyond regulatory requirements, Amorepacific takes a proactive approach by implementing voluntary safety and health programs that address potential risks and emerging issues in our workplaces.

Operation of Safety and Health Governance Structure
Amorepacific monitors safety performance across all business sites through its company-wide Safety and Health Management Committee.
The committee, composed of the CEO and executives responsible for safety and health at each business site, meets biannually to review major internal and external safety and health issues as well as the company’s responses to relevant regulations.
The Safety & Health Center, which oversees Amorepacific’s safety and health efforts, leads various initiatives to ensure regulatory compliance and prevent accidents. The center proactively responds to applicable laws and regulations, identifies potential risks at business sites, and implements necessary improvements. These activities are regularly reviewed through the Safety and Health Subcommittee, which collaborates with business sites to continuously reduce risks.
Each business site also operates an Industrial Safety and Health Committee and a Safety and Health Council to share key company issues and gather input from employees and suppliers on safety and health improvements. Collected feedback is reviewed for feasibility, and the outcomes of any actions taken are shared in subsequent meetings.
In addition to regular meetings, Amorepacific operates a dedicated grievance reporting channel―the ‘Safety Hotline’― through which all workers, including suppliers, can report safety-related concerns in real time. These reports are used to identify and mitigate hazardous conditions and risk factors in the workplace.
Safety and Health Management System Certification
Amorepacific maintains global certification for its safety and health management system. The Osan Amore Beauty Park, Daejeon Daily Beauty production site, Beauty Campus Shanghai, and Daejeon COSVISION production site have remained certified under ISO 45001, reflecting effective safety and health management and a strong commitment to safety across the organization.
Amorepacific is dedicated to enhancing workplace safety by continuously improving its management system, conducting regular performance evaluations to identify areas for improvement, and raising overall safety standards.
Safety and Health Goals and Performance Measurement
Amorepacific has established ‘Zero Accidents by 2030’ as its mid- to long-term goal for safety and health management. To support this objective, Amorepacific sets annual targets, including achieving zero serious industrial and civic accidents (in public-use facilities) and attaining a score of 100 on the Workplace Safety and Health Operations Index. Progress toward these targets is systematically monitored.
To realize these goals and protect employees and various stakeholders from serious incidents, Amorepacific has developed detailed action plans. The company also carries out a range of initiatives―such as education and training programs, as well as awareness campaigns―to identify potential risk factors associated with high-risk tasks and to foster a strong safety culture across its business sites.
Safety and Health Activities
SHE Audits and Regulatory Compliance Assessments
Amorepacific regularly assesses and improves its safety and health management practices and regulatory compliance through various methods, including self-inspections based on internal standards, regular inspections of fire, electrical, and mechanical systems by the Safety Inspection Team, and third-party audits conducted by external experts.
In particular, joint audits with external specialists were conducted at ten business sites, identifying 265 improvement areas that are currently being addressed.
As part of the assessment process, employee safety awareness was also evaluated through interviews. Moving forward, Amorepacific plans to implement customized programs to raise awareness and close gaps in safety perception across different levels of the organization.
Accident Investigation and Recurrence Prevention
Amorepacific is continuously enhancing its accident response system. Amorepacific has established a strengthened reporting protocol that requires an initial report within six hours of an accident and a final report within seven days. For accidents classified as high-risk, the Safety & Health Center is directly involved in conducting root cause analyses. Any improvement measures identified through this process are incorporated into the company-wide Amorepacific Safety Rules and implemented across all business sites to drive continuous improvement.
Safety and Health Assessment of Contracted, Service, and Entrusted Suppliers
Amorepacific uses established procedures and criteria to regularly assess the level of safety and health measures implemented by its contracted, service, and entrusted suppliers.
Suppliers are classified into four categories: administrative service suppliers, low-risk work suppliers, general/high-risk work suppliers, and construction work suppliers. These safety and health standards are assessed during the contracting stage. Based on the assessment results, suppliers are assigned a safety and health rating, and contracts are signed only with those that meet the required standards.
Strengthening Safety Assessments and Technical Support for On-Site Suppliers
Amorepacific conducted safety assessments and provided technical support for key on-site suppliers. Following the 2024 expansion of the Serious Accidents Punishment Act to include companies with five or more employees, Amorepacific verified the legal compliance of 10 on-site suppliers engaged in high-risk work and carried out assessments and technical support to enhance their safety competencies.
With the help of an external expert agency, Amorepacific reviewed the safety documentation systems of these suppliers, identified risk factors at worksites, and conducted training sessions to strengthen safety leadership among supplier managers.
The identified risks are being progressively addressed, and Amorepacific continues to monitor implementation results to systematically manage improvements in risk mitigation.
Occupational Safety and Health Training
Amorepacific provides ongoing training on occupational safety and health (OSH) in accordance with relevant laws and regulations, including mandatory legal courses and specialized sessions for hazardous or high-risk tasks. These efforts are part of Amorepacific’s commitment to preventing serious accidents and enhancing employees’ safety and health awareness.
Initially offered only to Amorepacific employees, the training has since been extended to include suppliers. In response to the expansion of the Serious Accidents Punishment Act to cover workplaces with five or more employees, Amorepacific conducted a targeted lecture that provided practical guidance on complying with the Act to representatives and supervisors of high-risk logistics center suppliers. The session received positive feedback, with suppliers noting that it offered practical support for building their own safety and health systems. Going forward, Amorepacific plans to gradually expand the training to include all on-site suppliers.
Amorepacific’s one-week onboarding program for new employees also includes a dedicated safety and health module. This training introduces essential safety rules and outlines the appropriate procedures for reporting accidents, helping new team members clearly understand Amorepacific, their job responsibilities, and the importance of safety and health.
Musculoskeletal Task Improvements
Amorepacific was honored with the President’s Award from the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency (KOSHA) at the 2024 Ergonomic Workplace Improvement Contest, organized by the Ergonomics Society of Korea. The award recognized an initiative at the Daily Beauty production site that improved the method for transferring powdered toothpaste ingredients.
The initiative was acknowledged for replacing the physically demanding task of repeatedly handling heavy powdered materials from the hopper in the big-bag room with a new system that employs a hoist for material input and a vacuum-based transfer process.
At the logistics center, Amorepacific collaborated with an external expert organization to analyze risk factors and implement improvements. After identifying musculoskeletal risks in each unit task, the company measured muscle load using sensor-based technology, enabling a quantitative evaluation of physical workload. Based on these findings, a series of countermeasures was implemented, including improved work methods, layout adjustments, and the use of assistive tools to reduce physical strain.
Emergency Preparedness and Response Training
Amorepacific Group conducted an emergency evacuation drill for all personnel at its headquarters, including employees of tenant companies.Partnered with the Yongsan Fire Station, the drill involved approximately 4,000 occupants and simulated a fire scenario, incorporating both evacuation and rescue procedures. During the exercise, firefighters demonstrated suppression and rescue operations using an aerial ladder truck, while occupants practiced evacuation via emergency stairways to familiarize themselves with proper emergency protocols.
To address challenges related to limited evacuation space, a two-way messaging system was introduced to enable real-time tracking of each individual’s evacuation status.
Feedback from the fire department and employees is continuously reviewed and incorporated into ongoing efforts to enhance the Amorepacific Group’s emergency response readiness.
