Measuring and reducing environmental footprint across the entire product cycle
The environmental footprint of a product means measuring the environmental impact of the entire process of making a product. AMOREPACIFIC's various brands measure the amount of water consumed during the entire manufacturing process, from the collection of raw materials to production, transportation, use, and disposal. We also measure the environmental impact of those processes and make efforts to improve our products in a way that reduces their environmental footprint.
LANEIGE’s Water Bank Line obtains the Carbon Trust Water Footprint certification
LANEIGE acquired the Carbon Trust Product Water Footprint certification for the entire Water Bank Blue Hyaluronic Line. The brand was also able to reduce water consumption and efficiently manage water resources throughout the life cycle of the product, leading to a 3.05L reduction in water consumption per one cream product and a 0.25L reduction per one serum product. The products were also improved in terms of their impact on the aquatic environment and the content of biodegradable ingredients with a focus on desirable ingredients for the skin. In addition, FSC-certified paper was used for the packaging as part of its sustainable-forests practices.
